What Are the Most In-Demand Job Roles Today
In recent coaching circles and programs, a recurring question has emerged: Which roles are currently in the highest demand? Of course, within my work, this refers specifically to roles in the Agile, product development and product management space.
Due to global economic challenges, demand across various industries has fluctuated, with some sectors experiencing significant declines. In the Agile landscape, the demand for Agile Coaches and consultants has notably decreased — partly because some have struggled to demonstrate clear value within organizations. However, one area remains resilient and continues to thrive: product professionals.
The Growing Importance of Product Experience
In today’s fast-paced and competitive market, the ability to build the right product, at the right time, in the right way sets industry leaders apart. As businesses strive to differentiate themselves and meet evolving customer expectations, the demand for skilled Agile Product Managers and Product Owners has never been greater.
Strong product experience goes beyond delivering features—it ensures organizations create products that truly resonate with users, solve meaningful problems, and drive long-term business success. Companies that prioritize product leadership consistently outperform those that focus solely on execution without a deep understanding of user needs.

Making the Transition into Product Space
If you're truly interested in product management, it's never too late to make the transition. The opportunities are vast, and demand for skilled product professionals continues to grow across industries.
Many professionals, particularly Business Analysts, find that their analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and stakeholder management experience position them well for a move into product management. I’ve worked with many Business Analysts who have successfully advanced into product roles, leveraging their deep understanding of business needs and processes.
This transition is not limited to Business Analysts. Software engineers, UX designers, project managers, and other product development professionals also bring valuable perspectives that can make them highly effective product managers.
The transition can be incredibly fulfilling—allowing individuals to shape not just how a product is built, but why it is built and how it delivers value to customers.
